Our businesses aim to provide sustainable goods and services, create decent jobs and contribute to the economic, environmental and social wellbeing of the communities in which we operate. We embed sustainability into our corporate policies and risk management systems and continually improve our performance with an emphasis on transparency and accountability. In this section, we feature our work in three focus areas of human rights, environment and communities.
United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)
We have been a signatory to the UNGC since 2002 and remain committed to integrating the UNGC framework into our operations, our supply chain and our products. Since the launch of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, we have aligned our efforts with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly in the four areas most directly overlapping with our business footprint: Good Health and Wellbeing, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Reduced Inequalities and Responsible Consumption and Production.
You can read more about our initiatives in our UN Global Compact Communication on Progress Report.
We leverage our extensive reach to influence people within our operations and supply chain, as well as customers, business partners and communities to enhance and extend our impact beyond our four walls.
We are involved in key industry initiatives that bring our customers and industry partners together to effect change in each of our three focus areas of human rights, environment and communities. Our partners include those below.
